While Jon is involved in many issues within the Hemsworth Constituency, and runs a weekly surgery in Hemsworth, his job entails him spending time in London representing the people of the constituency in Parliament.

Figures released this week show that crime has actually fallen during the recession and that unemployment has been maintained in direct contrast to the experience of the 1990s recession.
