Jon Trickett returned to serve his fifth term in Parliament
Jon Trickett has returned to Parliament this week by the people of Hemsworth with a 9,844 majority.
At the election night count he said the Labour vote has stayed solid in his constituency because people in the 23 villages in the former mining area will never forget what happened during the pit strike.
Mr Trickett went on: "There's still a great deal of work to do in re-generating the areas I represent."
