TRAVELLERS MOVED FROM PIT TOP

Local MP Jon Trickett this week welcomed the news that the travellers who has placed themselves on South Kirkby pit top had been moved on by the authorities but also said that it had taken too long for action to be taken.

“I welcome the news that the travellers have now moved from the South Kirkby site. It is has taken the authorities for too long to get to this point. I am pressing for a solution to be found which allows local anglers easy access but deters travellers from gaining further access, and I have been given an assurance that a strong gate will be fitted in the immediate future”.
