Try your hand at being an MP for a Week

Jon Trickett has said:

From time to time, people ask me what it is like to be an MP.  What do you get up to during the week down in London and some have said they'd like to put themselves in my shoes.  Well now you can find out for yourself! MP for a Week, a pioneering online game, has been launched by the Parliamentary Education Service.

Want to hear what a climate change lobbyist has to say, or ask the Environment Minister about electric cars? Vote on a video game ban, or hold a constituency surgery? Whether you are debating the government's controversial Homework Bill or helping Mrs Billingsley sort her rubbish collection, MP for a Week  provides a diverse and interesting insight into the day to day tasks and challenges of a Member of Parliament.  And as your approval rate is constantly changing, to survive the week it’s important to keep your constituents and your party happy!

MP for a week is aimed at 11 to 14 year olds, but this game could be enjoyable for an audience much older than that. With fantastic multimedia, a range of levels and activities, the game gives clear instructions, complimented with advice from real life MPs as you go along. Developed in accordance with relevant national curriculum levels, the game could be used as a fascinating teaching resource, or just something for people young or old to play at home.
